In support of operations for Baltimore Witness, a court watch program providing transparency and accountability to Baltimore’s criminal justice system through data collection and reporting. Baltimore Witness relies on reporters covering every hearing of homicide and non-fatal shooting cases heard at the Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Human Rights for Kids
In support of general operations for Human Rights for Kids (HRFK), which works to advance criminal justice reform for children in Maryland through coalition building and public education. HRFK centers its reform efforts on children’s exposure to trauma as the leading cause of juvenile delinquency and crime.
Interfaith Action for Human Rights
In support of Interfaith Action for Human Rights (IAHR) and its continued work with Maryland partners to end the practice of solitary confinement in Maryland.
Marian House Inc.
In support of general operations for Marian House’s transitional housing program for single women. At this 14-bed facility, Marian House offers weekly individual and group counseling, and programs for daily living skills, educational goal attainment, and job training.
Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement
In support of the salary of a Warrant Service Analyst who will reconfigure Baltimore City’s warrant service to prioritize violent and repeat offenders, increasing the likelihood that law enforcement agencies will effectively deploy limited resources and reduce crime.
