To underwrite the costs of a program designed to attract new homebuyers and renters to Baltimore City. The Center provides neighborhood profiles and tours to prospective residents, creates a semi-annual City Living Resource Guide, maintains an extensive website, works with realtors to promote City and State homebuyer incentives, and participates in home buying outreach.

Baltimore Development Corporation

Two grants for expenses related to the Maglev Project, a magnetic levitation high-speed train that, when fully operational, will reduce travel time between Baltimore and Washington to 16 minutes.

Patterson Park Community Development Corporation

$285,000 / 2002 / Community Development
Two grants toward staffing and operating expenses to support the continuation of an effort to halt the deterioration of the neighborhoods north and east of Patterson Park, through housing acquisition and rehabilitation, rental to responsible tenants and sale to homeowners.

Baltimore Regional Partnership

For a study to compile an inventory of areas with development or redevelopment potential for the Baltimore Regional Rail System Plan.

Patterson Park Community Development Corporation
