As Managing Director of Accounting & IT, Kathy has oversight responsibility for all aspects of financial processes and reporting, including the audit and tax returns of the Abell Foundation and its subsidiary companies. She is also responsible for managing the Foundation’s IT environment and real estate properties.

Before joining the Foundation in 2010, Kathy worked for KPMG as a senior member of the firm’s public sector audit practice focusing on private, not-for-profit colleges and universities, and other not-for-profit organizations. Kathy earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from University of Baltimore and is a certified public accountant. She lives in Parkton, Maryland with her husband and has four children.
