German Salazar provides research and analytical support to the Foundation’s Director of Impact Investing.

German joined the Abell Foundation as a venture fellow through the University System of Maryland Venture Fellowship program. Prior to joining Abell, he served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army. German graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. German is currently completing his MBA at the University of Maryland, College Park. He enjoys weightlifting, running, and spending time outdoors.
