For continued support of the Ex-Offender Re-entry Center at Northwest Career Center, located at the Mondawmin Mall. The center offers transitional support and employment-related services to more than 5,600 ex-offenders in an effort to reduce recidivism. In addition to providing employment-related services, the center will ensure that those served will have identification documents and referrals to housing, substance abuse, health care, and legal services.

In response to COVID-19, the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MIMA) in partnership with the Baltimore Civic Fund as a fiscal sponsor, established the Baltimore Immigrant Community Fund (BICF): Emergency Relief for Immigrant Families. Through community partners, the fund will respond to the urgent needs of undocumented immigrant families who are excluded from the CARES Act and other governmental benefits like Unemployment Insurance and SNAP. Grants from the fund are intended to help stabilize household finances and build Baltimore as a welcoming community.

Through community partners, the fund will respond to the urgent needs of undocumented immigrant families who are excluded from the CARES Act and other governmental benefits like Unemployment Insurance and SNAP. The Fund will support case management services to help households address needs and provide direct assistance to help stabilize household finances and build Baltimore as a welcoming community.
