In support of clean water and watershed protection, targeted policy work to elevate community concerns, legislative advocacy, and litigation to hold polluters accountable under the Clean Water Act. This grant provides staff support to address top pollutants plaguing Baltimore City and its waterways: stormwater runoff and sewage overflows.
Waterkeepers Chesapeake
In support of staff and research expenses associated with efforts to examine and recommend changes to Maryland’s environmental enforcement, specifically as it relates to water pollution and water quality.
Environmental Defense Fund
In support of the Clean Air for Baltimore initiative, which will reduce air pollution and associated health impacts from freight and cargo transportation in collaboration with the Port of Baltimore, one of Baltimore City’s largest and most concentrated sources of emissions.
