Senior Program Officer, Health & Human Services
As the Senior Program Officer for Health & Human Services, Terry manages a portfolio of grants addressing a broad range of issues, including inequities in the health care system, social determinants of health, housing and supportive service needs of people experiencing homelessness, access to reproductive health services, and food insecurity, among other things. She enjoys working with grantees to ensure that they are able to achieve their objectives, and providing advice and guidance to organizations seeking funding.
Terry joined the Abell Foundation in 2000, drawn by its track record of supporting innovative approaches to addressing some of Baltimore’s most intractable challenges. Prior to joining Abell, Terry worked as a staff attorney at the Maryland ACLU and as an associate at the Baltimore law firm of Brown, Goldstein & Levy. She received a JD from New York University School of Law, and a BA from the University of Wisconsin. She and her husband are the proud parents of two adult children and live in northeast Baltimore City, a few blocks from the beautiful Herring Run Park.
