Program-related investments (PRIs) are flexible financing solutions that address the unique capital needs of our nonprofit partners. PRIs are often low- or no-cost loans that address a non-recurring funding need or loan guarantees that enhance credit provided by third-party lenders. Unlike grants, PRIs are expected to be repaid, allowing us to recycle these benefits to additional partners.

For all nonprofit organizations seeking program-related investments.

Case Study: The Charles Theatre

Cinemas are critical to Baltimore City’s cultural life, the vibrancy of it arts infrastructure, and variety of entertainment offerings. The Charles Theatre assembled a redevelopment plan to add new screens and double the number of seats, offering the potential for better features and bigger audiences, increasing the profitability of the business, and adding vitality to the neighborhood surrounding the theater.
